Dear Fisherman of the Mattole,We, at MSG, are keenly aware that you are knowledgeable about the fish you seek to catch—what conditions they prefer, what food fish are going for, and what healthy fish should look like.The Mattole Salmon Group recognizes the need for all of us to work together in hopes of restoring sustainable salmon and steelhead runs and invites you to share your observations with us by email, letter, in person or by phone call.
Please send us reports of fishing conditions, catch, fish health, and hazards in hopes of sharing observations and attending to conditions of concern. And, we’d be grateful if you would send along your observations of our restoration sites, to tell us what is working and what is not, and what more we can do to improve the habitat of these noble creatures.
