Peregrine_PondMattole Coho Recovery: Off-Channel Habitat Enhancement Project 2014. Funded by : CDFW Fisheries Restoration Grant Program and Fish America Foundation, NOAA Restoration Center.

Brief description: excavate off-channel pond, (approx. 650 cubic yards) install wood structures (approx. 15 unanchored) in pond, and connect to stream.

Brief description: install sealed cross-channel log and boulder weirs intended to improve habitat for salmonids and increase groundwater recharge at sites. Install other log, rootwad and boulder structures intended to improve habitat for salmonids. 6 weirs, 3 other anchored structures, 4 unanchored wood structures.

Baker_Creek_2013Baker Cr- similar to 2014, but whole season, more structures. 10 weirs, 2 all log/rootwad unanchored cross-channel engineered log jams, excavate off-channel pond (approx 200 cubic yards), 2 wood fence structures (there’s probably a better name for these, but I’m not remembering what Rocko calls them), 6 unanchored wood structures.
