Habitat Monitoring

Rapid Stream Survey: Staff collect habitat, water quality, and fish use information on selected reaches throughout the watershed to help determine factors limiting salmonid survival.

Temperature Monitoring: Long-term temperature monitoring devices record hourly water temperatures throughout the watershed to determine areas limiting salmonid survival and identify areas in need of restoration.

Estuary Water Quality Monitoring: Data-collecting sondes record changes in water quality such as dissolved oxygen, salinity, and temperature throughout the estuary to assess impacts on salmonid survival and plan future restoration actions.

Headwaters Monitoring: Staff collect habitat, water quality, and fish use information on selected headwater reaches to assess habitat conditions during summer months and determine when rescue operations are necessary due to low flows.
