Education
The MSG partners with the AmeriCorps Watershed Stewards Project (WSP) and the Mattole Ecological Education Program (MEEP) to bring salmon and watershed education to local classrooms. WSP volunteers use fun activities to teach students about salmon biology and watershed ecosystems. Schools that have been involved in this educational program include Mattole Triple Junction High School, Mattole School, Mattole Valley Charter School, Honeydew School, Ettersburg School, Whale Gulch School, and Whitethorn School.
Mattole and Honeydew School students hang fish flags to celebrate the return of our native salmon.
